Dorothy Collins has been with the practice for more than 20 years. She is a chair side assistant & can assist in wide variety of procedures within the office setting & is certified through the hospital to assist within the hospital setting too. In addition to chair side assisting, she's certified to administer nitrous oxide & take x-rays. Also, she can prophy, give patient/parent education, make appointments, and many other tasks throughout the office. She truly loves working with the patients & their families & her dental team. She believes Dr. Nyland & Dr. Collins are amazing people & great pediatric dentists. She also knows Dr. Nyland & Dr. Collins care for their patients & staff & loves them like their own family. Dorothy has a wonderful husband, Chris & two amazing children, Cooper & Lily Grace. They have a pug named Frankie-Honey. They love spending time together with friends & family. They have a large extended family they love vacationing with & creating wonderful memories. They have a busy life but love doing life together no matter where they are.
Julie earned her Associates degree in Dental Hygiene from Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, NC in 1998. She began work in general dentistry as a Registered Dental Hygienist first in NC and then in PA for a total of eight years. Julie joined the pediatric dental world in 2006 when she moved to SC and began working for our practice and hasn't looked back. She loves working with children, helping them overcome their fears and have fun at the dentist. In her spare time, Julie likes to spend time outdoors running, cycling, or swimming and competing in races. In addition, she loves to travel and spend time with her husband, and two grown sons!
Mary Jane was born in San Antonio, TX and grew up in Greenville, SC where she went to dental hygiene school at Greenville Technical College. She now resides in Irmo, SC and has worked for Dr. Collins for over 5 years! She is loved by two children, Summer, and Chase, as well as one grandson, Skye. Her hobbies are: Gardening, and working out!

Alison is our newest team member and you can find her in the treatment area in the office. She is originally from Orlando, FL and there she graduated from Orlando Technical College in 2013. She has a passion for pediatric dentistry and has been working with kids since she was in high school. Its her goal to make sure each one of our patients are comfortable, and happy! When she is not working, you can find Alison being a cheer coach in the evenings for a local cheer gym. You can find her, on Lake Murray boat fishing with her boyfriend, Jeremy, playing with her puppy, Stella, or cheering on her Alabama football team in the fall - Roll Tide!
Cathy has been working as a Dental Assistant for our practice since 1999. She is married, has 2 adult children and 4 grandchildren. She loves to spend time with her family and friends, especially at the beach. She also enjoys reading, walking, and traveling!
Theresa earned a degree in management for Clemson University. She worked for 24 years at a parts distributor company before joining us in 2006. She is married and has 3 grown children and one grandchild. She loves to read, cook, and spend time at the beach. She is an avid follower of the Cleveland Browns, and the Cleveland Indians!

Diane went to Irmo High School, USC, and graduated from MUSC with a B.S. in dental hygiene.She worked in general dentistry in Florida and South Carolina for 17 years. She started working here in 2001 where she found her true passion, children. Her goal every day is for children to love the dentist and she and her-workers all strive to make that a reality. Diane is married with two daughters. She loves spending time with family, being involved in her church, playing tennis, and camping!
Courtney graduated from The Medical College of Georgia in 2002 and began her career as a registered dental hygienist. Courtney joined our team in 2017. She has extensive experience working with children and a passion for making your child's dental experience a happy and memorable one. When she is not working, Courtney enjoys spending time with her family and watching her two boys play baseball!
